Thomas W. Swank, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in St. Joseph, MI.

A Christian Funeral will be held on Thursday, July 9 at 9:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Glenlord Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085 with Pastor Joshua Bishop officiating. Burial will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered on Friday, July 10 at 11:00 am. For those friends and family wishing to attend the burial, please arrive at the Knox Chapel, 2106 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL by 10:15 am to join the funeral procession. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church and School.

Tom was born on May 22, 1950 to George and Vivian (Allen) Swank in Keithsburg, IL. Tom served the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged in 1970. He married the former Lisa Schiller in Newton, IA on September 4, 1982. Semper Fi

Tom is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lisa; children, Katherine (Matthew) Kohtz and Kendall Swank; grandchildren, Jake, Ollie, and Sam; and siblings, Robert Swank, Linda Hildreth, and Terry (Joann) Swank. He was preceded in death by his parents.
