Update on Taylor Elzey the body recovered Tuesday October 7th

 The body of Taylor Elzey was recovered Tuesday October 7th, 2014, from a field in Benton Township after a person came to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office to report a body being “dumped” late last week. The search found that Elzey’s body had been placed in a remote area of Benton Township in the area indicated by one of the person involved.Investigators believe that Taylor Elzey had been at an apartment in Hagar Township and had died after accidently overdosing on drugs. Her body was then moved to the spot in Benton Township.The Autopsy was performed yesterday.  The preliminary results indicated that there were no signs of an assault/trauma. Toxicology results may take up to three weeks, which will finalize the Medical Examiner’s report. 

The Sheriff’s Office will then send a full report to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
