Volunteers Still Needed for Rake A Difference

Volunteers Needed for Rake A Difference

The deadline to sign up is Friday, October 17.

On Thursday, November 13, thousands of volunteers across our region will unite to help local seniors by raking & bagging leaves, and cleaning gutters. Rake A Difference is dedicated to serving seniors age 60 and older who are physically unable to do their own yard work and cannot afford paid services.

This year, the need is greater than ever. All three counties, Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren, have already reached their waitlist for seniors requesting help through Rake A Difference, and the calls keep coming. More seniors are reaching out every day, hoping for a team of volunteers to lend a hand.

We especially need volunteers in Van Buren and Cass counties, as well as teams willing to travel to meet the need there. In addition, we’re looking for teams who are able to assist with gutter cleaning, a vital task for many seniors who cannot safely do it themselves.

Volunteering isn’t just about helping seniors, it’s also a powerful team-building experience. Whether you come with coworkers, classmates, friends, or family, spending a day outdoors, working side by side, and making an impact together is an incredible way to strengthen bonds while serving your community

Will you answer the call? Have a team of 2 people? Maybe a team of 30 people? We will take groups of all sizes! Gather your team and sign up today to Rake A Difference.
